ABOUT ELENA
Hello, I am Elena,
II grew up in Athens, Greece — a city that will always feel like home no matter where life takes me. Over the years I’ve lived in Cyprus and Australia, before eventually settling in London.
Photography was never part of the plan, if I’m honest. I studied Business Administration with a focus in CIS and spent about a decade working in IT. Then life took a turn I didn’t see coming. It started when I was pregnant with my first child. My partner bought a DSLR camera but neither of us really knew what to do with it, so I signed up for a photography course to figure it out. What started as “someone has to learn this” quickly became something I couldn’t put down. The more I learned, the more I wanted to pick up the camera.
My children became my first subjects and my greatest teachers. Photographing them showed me that the most meaningful images aren’t usually the posed ones. It’s the laugh from across the room, the cuddle on the sofa, a cheeky grin, or the way a little one looks up at their parent. Those are the moments families actually want to remember.
That’s still at the heart of everything I do. I love making images that feel relaxed, real, and full of personality. My approach is pretty straightforward — I want people to feel at ease, so the genuine stuff has room ‘to happen on its own.

MY VISION
Genuine Moments and Details
My approach to photography hasn’t always been rooted in documentary style — like many photographers, I experimented with posed, directed images early on, and there is certainly a place for them. But over time, I found myself drawn more and more to the natural, unscripted moments that tell a truer story. The quiet, in-between moments: a grandmother’s proud smile, two cousins whispering in a pew, a parent’s hand resting gently on a tiny shoulder. It’s about telling the full story of a day, not just the posed highlights.
Every family is different, every event has its own rhythm and feeling — and it’s in that uniqueness that I find my purpose: to observe, anticipate, and preserve those genuine moments before they pass. The details matter just as much as the big moments — because years from now, it’s often the smallest things in a photograph that bring a memory flooding back.
WHY CHOOSE ME
What You Can Expect
I am patient and easy going
Children don’t work to a schedule, and that’s perfectly fine. Whether little ones need a moment to warm up, or the day simply takes a different turn than planned, there’s no rushing and no pressure. I’m happy to go at whatever pace works best for your family, and if we need a little extra time to get the shots we need, I’ll stay as long as it takes.
I focus on emotions and connections
What makes a photograph truly special isn’t the perfect pose — it’s the feeling behind it. I focus on capturing the real connections between people: the love, the laughter, the tender moments that make your family uniquely yours. These are the images you’ll still be looking at decades from now.
I understand what it means to be a parent
Being a parent myself means I get it — the chaos, the unpredictability, and the beauty of it all. I know how to put families at ease, how to work around little ones, and how to find the magic in the perfectly imperfect moments that parenthood brings.
I will make the best out of your story
Every family has a story worth telling, and I’m here to tell it well. Whatever the day brings, I will find the moments, the light, and the emotion that make your photographs feel like you — honest, warm, and something to treasure forever.
BEHIND THE SCENES
When I’m Not Behind The Camera, You’ll Find Me…
