Christening photography is about preserving the quiet beauty and significance of such an important day in your child’s life. As both a photographer and mum, I truly understand how emotional and meaningful these moments are. I also know how important it is to capture them with sensitivity and respect. During the ceremony, I work discreetly, blending in so I don’t disrupt the service or distract your guests. My focus is on observing quietly and documenting what naturally unfolds; the joy, the reverence, the connections between loved ones.
My aim is always to provide you with a beautiful collection of images that reflect not only the event itself, but the warmth and emotion that filled it. These photographs are more than just keepsakes. They become part of your family’s story, a way to remember and honour a meaningful chapter in your lives.
What To Expect
I photograph christenings and first communions across London, but I’m always happy to travel if your ceremony is a bit further away.
I usually arrive at the church around half an hour before the ceremony. This gives me time to photograph the space, the details, and any decorations before things begin. When you arrive, I’ll ask you to unpack your child’s christening outfit and their crucifix. It’s the perfect moment to capture those little details before everything starts.
From there, I photograph the day gently and respectfully, without getting in the way. There’s no need to stop and pose (unless you want to), or to think about the camera at all. You can simply enjoy the day, while I capture everything as it naturally unfolds.

FAQ
How much does christening photography cost?
The cost depends on how long you’d like me to be there and what you’d like covered. Some families only need the church ceremony, while others want the celebration afterwards as well. You can find my packages here above.
How long should we book a photographer for?
Most families book between 2 and 4 hours. This usually allows enough time to capture everyone arriving, the ceremony, family photographs outside the church, and part of the reception. If you’re not sure how much time you’ll need, I’m happy to help you decide.
Do you travel outside London?
Yes, I do. Although I’m based in London, I’m happy to travel to nearby towns and further afield for christenings. Just let me know where your ceremony is taking place, and I’ll confirm availability and any travel costs if they apply.
Will you get in the way during the ceremony?
Not at all. I work quietly and respectfully throughout, keeping my distance during the ceremony itself and never interrupting the moment.
Are you insured?
Yes. I have public liability insurance, giving you and your venue peace of mind on the day.
Do you have experience photographing christenings?
Yes. I’ve photographed christenings in a variety of churches and understand how these ceremonies unfold. I work quietly and respectfully, capturing genuine moments without getting in the way of the service or your guests.
Can you photograph Greek Orthodox christenings?
Absolutely. As someone familiar with Greek Orthodox traditions, I understand the different parts of the ceremony and the pace of the service. I know which moments are especially meaningful and photograph them with care and respect.
Do you photograph Catholic baptisms?
Yes. Every church has its own traditions, and I’m always mindful of the guidance given by the priest. I work discreetly throughout the ceremony, capturing the important moments while respecting the setting.

Of course. Every family celebrates differently, so your photography can be tailored to suit your plans. What if the church has restrictions on photography?
It’s worth checking with your church in advance. Most are fine with a photographer moving around quietly, but some churches have specific rules like the use of flash which it could be prohibited. We can still take photos though, so don’t worry about it.
